If you carry a gun, you should carry a trauma kit.  If you are out in public enjoying your day with friends and family, you should have a trauma kit.  Life is full of unexpected emergencies and you might be the first on scene medical provider.  This course is designed to familiarize you with the most common contents of readily available trauma kits on the market and learn basic emergency trauma care.
The student will learn to effectively and safely use a handgun (semi-auto pistol or revolver).  You will learn/review basic firearm safety and fundamentals to include loading and unloading, emergency reloads, reloads with retention, malfunction clearances and injured shooter skills. You will also learn skills to treat injuries encountered in a gunfight or vehicle/industrial accidents.  These skills are currently being taught to military and civilian law enforcement to provide the victim valuable time for emergency medical services to arrive.
